Using AI To Enhance Your Skillset

Updated: Sep 23, 2023

You may feel intimidated now, but you're about to become real close.

Midjourney Prompt: Vector drawing of a woman at a computer, at home, dog on the floor, duotone, green and yellow, natural light

I was introduced to Artificial Intelligence (AI) through a program called Midjourney. Midjourney uses AI prompts to create seriously incredible artwork. I watched as my wife and her sister took turns entering short commands into a chat session which then produced amazing images of their crazy compilations! It was sooooo cool. I was hooked!

I've always considered myself artistic but never really had the ability to bring to life on paper (or digitally) what was in my head. I used to spend hours designing things in Adobe Illustrator, never to have them look quite right. But now, watching the Midjourney app create an image from ideas in my head in less than 15 seconds, it was like walking into a dreamworld. All of a sudden I felt like I had a new skill that I didn't have before; one I'd been longing for and felt held back by not having.

In fact, I'm not the only one who thinks that. In 2018, McKinsey Global Institute wrote in "Skill Shift: Automation and the Future of the Workforce":

"AI systems can provide personalized learning experiences, helping individuals acquire new skills more efficiently and effectively."

It didn't take me long to realize that AI wasn't limited to design skills. In the last year, AI has helped me build 3 brands, find my true purpose, write lots of content, help me understand advanced concepts in digital marketing, build websites, create social posts, write business plans and marketing strategies, find my target audience, monetize some of the designs and content I've made. It's been a business mentor, a business partner, an expert and a specialist and mostly all for free (or close to it)!

You can use it just like I have and the hundreds of thousands of others that are starting to jump on the bandwagon too.

In fact, there is no way around it, AI is the future. It's already happening now, it's impacting our today and kid's futures.

"The Future of Jobs Report 2020" predicts 85 million jobs globally will be replaced by AI by 2025. The same report also indicates that AI can potentially generate 97 million new roles. forbes.com, "How AI Will Impact The Next Generation Workforce"

You can see this already in all of the content that is coming out using AI. The sheer number of applications, programs, prompt sheets, design programs, copywriting assistants, etc (the list goes on). It can get pretty overwhelming very fast.

Great news! I've dedicated an entire year to diving headfirst into the AI world, tirelessly researching, experimenting, and preparing. My mission? To cut through the AI clutter and serve up only the juiciest, user-friendly, bang-for-your-buck programs and applications out there so you can reclaim your time without getting lost in the AI fog.

AI is changing things and I do believe one of those is the rejection of the 9-5, working for someone else. Finally, you have the skills to build an online business that fuels you!

It's jam-packed it full of AI goodies to help you build out your digital skillset and start building your online business with purpose!
